Press Gazette ships "Made by Humans" to catch AI fakes before publication

Press Gazette has partnered with Flip-Pay to launch Made by Humans, a newsroom tool that checks text, images, video and audio for AI manipulation before publication, using Pangram and Identifai detection tech plugged directly into CMS workflows. A survey of 200-plus publishers found 95% believe AI content should be flagged, 64% have no reliable way to check, and 87% say a "human-made" guarantee would increase reader trust. Editor-in-chief Dominic Ponsford framed it as survival: "quality, human-authored journalism is in a fight for survival against misleading AI-written bilge."
