Digiday's Future of TV Briefing charts every subscription price change since 2019 and finds stream-flation is real. Disney+'s ad-free tier is up 172% from its $6.99 launch price to $18.99, Netflix's standard ad-free tier has climbed from $10.99 to $19.99, and even Peacock's ad-supported tier has jumped 160%, from $4.99 at launch to $12.99 this month. Eight major streamers' ad-free tiers now cost $151 a month without bundle discounts, pushing more viewers toward the ad-supported tiers that monetise.
