Brands Want Creators Who Win Over Humans and Machines at Once

Creator briefs are being quietly rewritten around AI visibility. Agencies including Reign Maker, Go Fish Digital, Ogilvy, Tinuiti, Dept, The Now Agency and Jellyfish report client interest in how creator content shapes what LLMs cite. Go Fish Digital's Lauren Lyster says it is "a lot more long-form information... Shorts... don't often actually get cited very often in AI data". Tinuiti's Crystal Duncan says the topic is "front and center" with clients, and the agency now weighs AI visibility as roughly a quarter of its creator strategy, up from a tenth six to eight months ago. Jellyfish has built "Share of Model" to run prompt batches across major LLMs and track which sources get cited. As Molson Coors' Justine Stauffer put it: "We as marketers have to look at targeting humans and machines."
The crux
Marketing input is being re-architected for two audiences, humans and the LLMs that recommend to humans, and creators with deep, citable domain expertise are becoming the cheapest reliable way to reach both.
Sell-side read
This is the demand side of the machine web; publishers with long-form, structured, citable content (transcripts, clear claims, named sources) are directly aligned with where creator-marketing budgets are already moving.
Watch
Creator rate cards incorporating citation value within 6-12 months, which will set a visible price for AI visibility that publishers can benchmark their own licensing deals against.
