Skydance-Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery Projects up to $21.6bn in 2027 Ad Revenue

The combined company created by the completed Skydance Corp. deal is projected to generate $19.0bn to $21.6bn in advertising revenue in 2027, up from an estimated $18.5bn to $20.7bn in 2026, driven by streaming while linear declines 5% to 8% annually, according to averages from Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and MoffettNathanson. Streaming platforms Paramount+, HBO Max, Pluto TV and discovery+ are expected to grow 20% to 35% a year to between $8.0bn and $9.5bn in 2027, with midterm political advertising adding roughly $300m. Analysts see the sales operation as the clearest upside: StoneX Financial's Daniel Kurnos models "a unified advertising sales operation as the clearest near-term upside", building to roughly $210m by 2030, while Madison & Wall notes that "a company representing more than a quarter of national TV advertising will have greater leverage during the upfronts".
The crux
Consolidating Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery concentrates a quarter of national US TV advertising under one sales roof, shifting upfront pricing power from the buy side toward the newly merged seller.
Sell-side read
Premium video publishers face a larger, more disciplined seller on the other side of the upfront, which raises the bar on their own measurement and packaging; the same consolidation also concentrates programmatic video demand into fewer, bigger negotiations.
Watch
how the unified ad-sales operation prices the 2027 upfront, and whether the $400m-$600m in projected ad-sales operating-income synergies materialise in the first two years.
