Supply-path trust becomes the product

Tipsheet reported HUMAN Security is expanding its Ad Integrity Suite to programmatic platforms, combining invalid-traffic, viewability and brand-safety signals, with OpenX the first to adopt it to curate supply and build deals. Chris Hallenbeck, OpenX's VP of Marketplace Quality, said "trust is the actual currency of programmatic advertising, not scale". In the same week pubX raised a $5 million Series A led by Chicago Ventures and acquired Compliant, a media quality and governance firm, per AdExchanger; MediaPost reported Compliant will keep its name and its CEO Jamie Barnard will serve as pubX president of global demand growth. pubX CEO Andrew Mole argued agent hallucination is not an LLM problem but a supply-path problem, because legacy DSPs were not designed to talk to agents.
The crux
As agents take over buying decisions, verification and governance move from a checkbox to the layer the money is actually allocated against.
Sell-side read
Publishers whose inventory carries verifiable quality signals are being packaged into curated deals that agents can transact against directly, which is where automated demand is heading.
Watch
Whether HUMAN's signals extend across more SSPs by the first half of 2027, and whether pubX's agent-to-agent trading wins publisher supply or stays demand-side.
