The Daily Mail's multimedia storytelling strand Deep Dive has hired ten people in two months to an 18-strong team since it was paywalled in May, on the back of average engagement of 440,000 views, two minutes 45 seconds dwell time and 60 to 100 new subscribers per article. Director of visual storytelling Harry Lewis-Irlam: "These things are successful. How do we do more of them? And the answer to how you do more of them is you hire more people to do them."
